Metaphoric Living Metaphoric Living

We are all raised in a myth. We are all taught to exist as metaphors, as symbols of something supposedly greater than ourselves.

As people become symbols they become abstract, something ideal rather than real. There are those people in the world who refuse to be metaphors, refuse to be symbols. It is in these people that we receive the wellspring of truth, whether we want it or not.
It is the Mozarts, and Einsteins, and Joyces of the world that will live forever in the annals of history. It is the ones who refused the metaphor, the mask and chose to stand up tall and challenge the normality that will teach us what we need to know.
It is the ones who peel off the layers of conformity and expose themselves in pure form that will show us truth.
