**The instructor reserves the right to make modifications to this schedule including, but not limited to, additional tests, quizzes, and writing and/or reading assignments.

** Students are responsible for keeping up with any changes in course outline.

**Chapter exercises will be assigned by instructor and may be required to be graded in lab.

**Some writing assignments may be written in class. Students who are absent will receive a zero for those assignments.

**Students should bring Scantrons and #2 pencils for all tests, including the final exam. Students will also be required to bring bluebooks for the writing final, which is a timed, in-class writing exam.

**Please remember that this outline relates to class assignments only. Please refer to Lab Schedule for all lab assignments and deadlines.

** Lab assignments account for twenty per cent (20%) of your course grade. Failure to complete any lab assignments could significantly affect your grade for the course, and may in some cases, result in failure of the course.

**Lab assignment deadlines will be strictly enforced. Please complete all work in a timely manner as to avoid a reduction in your lab grade.

Essays:  All essays must be typed. Please make sure to use one inch margins and double space, using a font of ONLY 12. All essays must include a proper heading (name, date, class, my name, and a title). Essays must be at least 500 words (or 2 pages) – please do not exceed 3 pages.

 

Quizzes: Review quizzes will be given at the start of a class on material covered in prior class sessions. Quiz grades will be factored into your participation.  If you miss a class and/or are late, you are not able to make up a quiz.

 

Final Exam Schedule          NOTE: The essay writing final will be given on the last class meeting before the exam week period.  The grammar final will be given as follows:
